Many people rely on how they think and feel about something for what’s right and wrong. But are our feelings a good source of truth?

Many people believe their feelings determine truth. They rely on how they think and feel about something for what’s right and wrong. But are our feelings a good source of truth?

Not at all! The Bible tells us our hearts are deceitful and can’t be trusted. You see, every single one of us is a sinner with a sinful heart. The Bible says, apart from Christ, we love darkness rather than light. And even those who have turned to Christ still struggle with the flesh.

So no, our feelings are a terrible guide!

Instead., we should look to the unchanging Word of God. It’s a lamp to our feet, a light to our path, and it’s the knowledge of God that’s the beginning of wisdom.
