Today is Good Friday—the day we remember Christ’s death on the cross for us.

And all this week we’ve seen that we can know this event really did happen.

Now, before Jesus died, the disciples didn’t understand why he’d come. And when he was arrested, they scattered and hid. Peter even denied knowing Jesus—three times!

And yet just weeks after his resurrection, the disciples’ lives were radically changed. They went from scared and in hiding, to boldly proclaiming Christ and suffering persecution, even dying for the message! Why? Because they really did meet the risen Lord!

We can have full confidence that Jesus really lived and rose again.
