We should celebrate that there are eight billion image-bearers of God living on a remarkable planet he made for us!

This is Ken Ham, inviting you to have an encounter with God’s Word at the Ark Encounter.

Last year the eight-billionth person was born. Now, some people say having so many people is bad because that many people will destroy so-called “Mother Earth.”

But in the biblical worldview, there’s no “Mother Earth.” God created life. And he formed earth to be inhabited by that life.

Now, the crowning jewel of his creation is mankind, Adam and Eve. Yes, all of God’s creation is beautiful though now it groans from sin, but the crown is mankind. We bear his image!

So, we shouldn’t bemoan what billions of people might do to the planet—we should celebrate that there are eight billion image-bearers of God living on a remarkable planet he made for us!
