Does Family Makeup Matter?

Family isn’t a human invention that we can just reinvent to fulfill whatever desires we have—even good desires, like wanting a child.

What’s “conscious coparenting”? Well, it refers to two people who aren’t in any kind of relationship, choosing to have and raise children together.

One celebrity recently tweeted that he hopes “more people will explore and consider” it.

But family isn’t a human invention that we can just reinvent to fulfill whatever desires we have—even good desires, like wanting a child.

God created the family when he made marriage. He told Adam and Eve to be fruitful and multiply. And God’s design for the family is clear: one man and one woman, in the covenant of marriage and their children.

That’s God’s definition of the family, and we can’t just rearrange it.
