As I often teach families, when we see a claim in the news about evolution we should ask, “were you there?” And, of course, the answer is no!

This week we’ve seen that all the so-called “missing links” are either mistakes, humans, or apes. This reminds us that we should never start with man’s ideas about the past—people weren’t there, they don’t know everything, and they make mistakes.

As I often teach families, when we see a claim in the news about evolution we should ask, “were you there?” And, of course, the answer is no!

No scientist was there to observe the past, but God was and he has given us an eyewitness account of history in his Word. Since God was actually there, knows everything, and doesn’t make a mistake, we should always start with his Word!
