American Graduate - Community Involvement

The snowstorm prevented our guests from Black Women for Positive Change to come to Hampton Roads on Friday, January 31, so instead we held a mini town-hall discussion on how the community can participate in efforts to prevent kids from dropping out of high school. Our guests included Kelly Jackson, Director, Center for Regional Citizenship, and lead person for WHRO/WHRV's American Graduate: Let's Make It Happen Initiative; Lisa Godley, Documentary Producer and Producer of Another View; Quintin Brown, Executive Director, Communities in Schools Hampton Roads; and Sarah Peoples-Perry, Director, Systematic Tutoring Expecting Progress or STEP.
