If you are a homeowner with a foreclosure-related eviction, you generally can’t be evicted until after September 30, 2021. Homeowner Assistance Fund (HAF) While the foreclosure moratoriums have not been extended beyond July 31, 2021, in order to give more time for severely distressed borrowers to find housing, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac , HUD/FHA , USDA , and the VA , have extended certain foreclosure-related eviction moratoriums until after September 30, 2021. Some states and local governments have also temporarily stopped foreclosures. This means that if your loan is not federally backed, that you still could be protected from foreclosure. Check your state’s government website for details.
