The Jewish Focus on the Greatest Commandment

Yesterday looked at the Christian view of Deuteronomy 6, but when Jewish people today examine the greatest commandment of Deuteronomy chapter 6 they have a very different view than Christians. Their view focuses on a legalistic system of things to do and not on loving the Lord their God. Another argument would be that they love the Lord their God because of their actions, but often it's the actions that get the focus, not God.
