In this episode Julie sits down with Emily Smith, a veteran midwife for 37 years. Emily headed up the ‘Early Pregnancy Unit’ in the West of Scotland with a group of dedicated midwives, putting woman’s interests first. She was a support for couples who found themselves in the unfortunate and deeply distressing situation of losing a baby. They chat all about Emily’s career, but also about the still taboo subject of miscarriage.
