This week's episode is all about young adult zombie books!

Today we’re getting a little political with some genre mash-ups of the living dead: Out of Salem by Hal Schrieve and Undead Girl Gang by Lily Anderson. I talk about why horror, and zombie fiction in particular, is so relevant to political discussions and what these books have to say about modern life.

I also discuss body horror and the interesting ways that a zombie protagonist can give us insight into mortality and human nature. Then I delve into how friendships evolve and sometimes die and the interesting connections between zombies and witchcraft.
