Literally a rambling chat with Kurt as he walks 140 miles along the Pilgrims Way from Winchester to Canterbury. He was inspired to make this journey across Hampshire, Surrey and Kent by reading a chapter of Rupert Sheldrake's book Science and Spiritual Practices about Pilgrimage and Holy Places.

Recorded on day one of the two-week journey, our conversation covers various aspects of going on a pilgrimage in the UK today including the health benefits of long-distance walking, the energetics of the landscape and how suffering can lead to spiritual realisation.

Simon stayed over to record a follow-up episode on day 2, which will be published shortly.

He plans to return to walk the last section into Canterbury and gather Kurt's reflections on his epic walk.

Apologies for the wind noise during the first 5 minutes of the interview.
