Our guest, Rachael Songalewski, gives us insight on how Amtrak’s safety and security team operates as well as tips for current and aspiring leaders. Rachael’s badge story involves investigations into human trafficking, child prostitution, and robberies when Rachael was serving on her department’s anti-human trafficking team. Rachael and Jason also discuss the nuances of going from a coworker to a supervisor, and how to alleviate civilian leadership positions. Rachael is currently a safety & security analytics manager for Amtrak after serving 16 years with the Fayetteville (NC) Police Department.
