Description: John Seay hacked us this week to write his own episode summary (just kidding, or are we?). John is fascinated by computers and the power of technology, and has spent most of his career understanding the in-and-outs of what they can do for public safety and society as a whole. In this episode, John shares his story of cleaning up a massive database with millions of records, harnessing the power of SQL, and where he thinks the profession, and world, is going with the rise of AI technology. John is an advocate for analysts to learn more than the standard Excel and Access -- check out PowerQuery, PowerPivot, and especially PowerBI for your analytical and data visualization needs. John is a currently a Data/Crime Analyst at the University of North Carolina Wilmington University Police Department.
