When terrorism cases come to court it is necessary to prove that  ideology drove a (planned) act of violence.  Why do we need to do that?  Isn't violence simply violence?  Borealis asks whether a recent Greek court decision to convict the far right Golden Dawn as a criminal organisation rather than a terrorist one has lessons for all of us.
