Max Wilbert is an organizer, writer, photographer, and wilderness guide. He has been part of grassroots political work for 20 years. He is the co-author of Bright Green Lies: How the Environmental Movement Lost Its Way and What We Can Do About It, which was released in 2021. He is the co-founder of Protect Thacker Pass and part of several other grassroots environmental and political organizations. He lives in rural Oregon with his family in a small cabin underneath 100-year-old white oak trees.
