Near Mexico City, you can visit la Isla de las Muñecas—the Island of the Dolls.

This unsettling plot of land is covered in a collection of disembodied dolls rescued from surrounding areas and put on display, but this is no ordinary collection.

The collection is meant to appease, honor, or entertain the ghost of a little girl who was found drowned in the nearby canal.

Don Julian Santana Barrera collected the dolls for this little girl, but everyone has a different story to explain why.

What really happened to this little girl? And what happened to Don Julian?
