Former White House Economist Diana Furchtgott Roth, who served in senior roles under four presidents, discusses the Biden Administration’s push to require app-based employers to hire workers traditionally, as opposed to hiring them as contractors.

Furchtgott Roth is now a professor of economics at George Washington University and believes this opposition to “gig work” would limit or end opportunities for millions of people who need or want gig jobs like Lyft, Uber, DoorDash, Instacart, and other work through similar companies.
