Timeliness is Next to Godliness | Episode Six

In the sixth episode of the American Reveille Podcast with James Lane, I bring us to the point of time management and the importance of respecting the clock through the use of a shameless introduction and a reference that absolutely leads to me to be compared to our favorite Mexican culinary delicacy! 

To explain the importance of time management, I use an example of just what can be done by leveraging it! I briefly give you some inside information about what it actually took to launch, not just this podcast, but the operation behind it, the "what it took" effort-wise that nobody else tells you about. 

There's no scam and no email list, I just literally tell you how much effort was expended to create the operation so you have a real reference if you would like to start your own endeavor of any kind. I also tell you more about my wife; I just call her Wifles (find out why inside)!  

This leads us to a conversation about how I adapt the Project Management concepts of lag and lead time to personal time management. Instead of lag time being the delay between project tasks and lead time (duration) being leveraged for projects, I shrink this concept down to an "hours-leveraging" concept for much smaller personal use!

Finally, this leads to the most important topic you will ever hear talked about on any concept. The concept that half-assed work leads to someone else's lag time. There, I said it! 

I dig deep into the concept that when you don't do the job right from start to finish, when you don't put in the effort to do the job right the first time, period, somebody else has to pay for it. Usually with their own work, money, or worse, both. You know what I’m talking about!
