This year America Daily got to go to the biggest outdoor show in America. We spoke to many people including the NRA, vendors, and even the Duck Commander himself, Phil Robertsons.
Review of the ‘The Great American Outdoor Show’ (0:14)
The show celebrates the outdoor life and traditions for American families, This year it was held on Feb 2-10 at the PA Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg, PA. The complex offers 650,000 square feet of exhibit space and this year there were more than 1,100 exhibitors.
It is an event that is literally something for everyone. From Grandma and Grandpa all the way to little tykes.
The exhibits ranged from hunting and fishing outfitters, charters, archery, hunting, fishing. Also featured were the latest boats, trucks, firearms, RVs and much, much more.
There were special events held this year such as Duck Dogs – Big Air Dog Jumping Contests, the 3D Bowhunter and spot challenges.
Other events included the NRA Range Experience, a taxidermy contest and more. Fishing demonstrations were held daily during the event at the Hawg Tank.
Over 200 seminars and presentations were presented by outdoor experts that included Hunting tips, concealed carry methods, and even wild game cooking.
The families with kids got to visit the Eddie Eagle Kids Zone. This had everything to keep the kids engaged and entertained. There was a Trout Pond, A Casting Contest, and even archery.
There is also an NRA Banquet and an NRA Concert featuring three country music artists. Thousands of people from all over the country got to enjoy this great outdoor show and celebrate the outdoor lifestyles and participate in this longtime American tradition.
We had a blast and it was a packed event for sure. Lots of fun for the whole family. We want to thank the NRA for speaking with us and being so open to answering all our questions.
