Yesterday I stopped to help a woman on a mobility scooter put her groceries into her minivan. Nobody else was stopping. Nobody else was helping, or looking, or doing anything.

But I saw a shift in the attitude of people around me. I saw people smile at the thought of something nice being done. I saw someone else look around as though trying to find someone to help. I saw people in the store asking if I needed help reaching something on a higher shelf. I saw a change, like a ripple effect. I saw it. I liked it.

Sometimes, the festive season can be tough for people. Let's remember to touch base with the ones we love. A simple conversation could mean the world to them. Check in, lighten the mood! ️ You don't have to lift groceries to make someone's day just a little bit better.
