Mike & Paul discuss continuous improvement or as some would say, the pursuit of mastery while enjoying a glass of Knob Creek whiskey. As creatives we all know that simply learning the basics and doing is not enough - we must become life-long students of our craft and evolve as we gain experience.
Episode 56 is intended to be a reminder to artists and creatives from all walks of life that we can improve, and by taking small steps each day, we can master our craft. In our busy lives, practice and taking time to hone our skills may not always be in the front of our minds, but with a little planning and good methods, we will find time to gradually improve our skills each and every day.
Nobody wants to remain a beginner, or just rely on the skills they learned when they started their journey. If you really want to be great at something, and become the artist you have the potential to become, you can do it by applying the methodology of continuous improvement. Art school, music school, classes, workshops, and more might give you the tools and techniques to build upon, but to truly master your craft, you must learn how to improve on your own. This episode is for you.

Thank-you to the crew over at CCC (specifically Genki) who peer pressured me into starting a podcast. Clearly it didn't take much, but I do appreciate the push, nonetheless. I never knew I would enjoy podcasting as much as I do. I've learned a lot about myself and continue to learn how to improve simply by listening to my own recordings and through the research preparing for each episode. ~ Mike
