We feel sorry for you if you missed it. The 90s were a time of artistic expression and exploration. Punk taught Generation X that they could do anything, and they did when given the chance in the 90s. Beginning with the musical explosion coming out of Seattle, bands and scenes popped up all over, and record labels went "cool hunting", looking high and low (and spending exorbitant amounts of money) searching for the next musical haven. Luckily for us there were a bunch of them percolating in the US and beyond and this week we're getting a bit nostalgic for those incredible scenes made up of bands, record labels, venues, promoters, zine writers and fans. Musician, writer and founder of Cool Adjacent Management Ian MacKinnon was there too and he helps us take a closer look at 10 of the best places to exist as a music fan in that hallowed decade.
