Mafi is one of the few Tongan dietitians in New Zealand and one of the very few dietitians with an MBA. Mafi has spent her career working as a dietitian and in senior leadership roles with a sole purpose of improving nutrition and physical activity amongst Pasifika people and especially in Pasifika heart health.

Mafi currently works in partnership with Dr Julie Wharewera-Mika as Heads of MAS Foundation with a purpose of improving health and wellbeing equity in Aotearoa.
