If you’re building a business or managing a side hustle listen up because today we’re going to review how to structure your schedule in a way that builds good habits and leads to long-term success through Time Blocking. 

In time blocking your schedule, each block is dedicated to accomplishing a specific task, or group of tasks, and only those specific tasks. YES, this means no checking social media, taking un-urgent phone calls, and responding to emails during designated time blocks. 

For those that are used to keeping a long to-do list and struggle to decide which items to check off first, you’ll soon be starting each day with a concrete schedule that lays out what you’ll work on and when. No more multitasking and allowing interruptions to dictate your day.


Here's a high-level overview of my typical workday:

6:00 AM - 6:30 AM (Wake Up + Morning Ritual)

7:00 AM - 7:45 AM (GYM)

8:00 AM - 8:45 AM (Daily Metric Review)

8:45 AM - 9:15 AM (Morning Buffer Block)

9:00 AM - 12:00 PM (Strategic Block #1)

11:45 AM - 12:15 PM (Mid-Day Buffer Block)

Noon - 1:00 PM (Breakout Block)

1:00 PM - 4:00 PM (Strategic Block #2)

(OPTIONAL) 3:45 PM - 4:15 PM (Afternoon Buffer Block)

(OPTIONAL) 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM (Breakout Block)

(OPTIONAL) 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM (Strategic Block #3)

(OPTIONAL) 7:45 PM - 8:15 PM (Evening Buffer Block)

10:45 PM - 11:00 PM (Go to Bed + Night Ritual)
