All the Pouches: An Image Comics Podcast is one fan’s exploration of the early years of Image Comics.

In this twenty-fifth episode, I begin my discussion of the Deathmate crossover with the Prologue issue and the Green preview book. And joining me on this journey is Luke Jaconetti of the Earth Destruction Directive podcast!

Deathmate! Their love would end all time! It was marketed as the greatest comics crossover event of all time! It’s been called a few other choice descriptions over the years! But it all starts with the third biggest comics company agreeing to an impromptu crossover with the latest upstart publisher. Luke and I take a look at Valiant and their history leading into this crossover, and then we dive into the events of the Prologue chapter that started everything off! Then the Green chapter is a small preview that tries to flesh out the background events of the story.
