All the Pouches: An Image Comics Podcast is one fan’s exploration of the early days of Image Comics.

In this seventeenth episode, I discuss Darker Image 1, ShadowHawk 4, and 1963 1.

Darker Image 1 was the first of an intended miniseries that never continued. It features short stories from The Maxx (welcome back to Lily Wilson to look at this one), Bloodwulf, and Deathblow! Then the Savage Dragon comes to town to confront ShadowHawk, who must contend with the question of whether his violent methods make him just like the criminals he’s sworn to stop. And finally, Alan Moore’s Eisner-winning homage to the Silver Age gets its start with Mystery, Incorporated!
