The message was delivered on Sunday, June 23, 2019, at All Souls Unitarian Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma, by Steven L. Williams, Pastoral Care Chaplain, at the Humanist Service. DESCRIPTION We humans frequently reinvent ourselves, living many lives in one lifetime, trading places with ourselves as we go. Our institutions (like churches) change as we do. With self and world constantly shifting, how do we know what is passing and what is permanent? How do we embrace what we are becoming, while also affirming what we once were? How do we stay connected to each other as we change? And, when it’s time to trade places again, how do we do so with grace and love for ourselves and others? I have traded places in this church many times in my journey from infant in the nursery to minister in the pulpit, and in the process, I’ve learned some valuable lessons about transition and adaptation. Please join me on June 23 for my last sermon as your Pastoral Care Chaplain, as I prepare to trade places once more. *Music: YAVE, Rick Fortner SUBSCRIBE TO AUDIO PODCAST: SUBSCRIBE TO OUR YOUTUBE CHANNEL: GIVE A DONATION TO HELP US SPREAD THIS LOVE BEYOND BELIEF: or text LOVEBB to 73256 LET'S CONNECT: Facebook: Twitter: All Souls Church Website:
