The sermon was delivered on Sunday, January 17, 2016, at All Souls Unitarian Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma, by Rev. Dr. Marlin Lavanhar, Senior Minister.
SERMON DESCRIPTION
A look at why there has never been an African American "Al Qaida" or African American "Intifada" movement in America despite the violence and disenfranchisement of African Americans throughout history and what we can learn from these two African American leaders of the past about how to deal with global terrorism.
As our nation, once again, celebrates the legacy and honors the life and leadership of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., I look at the relationship between Dr. King and Malcolm X to see what it teaches us about Islam as well as about our current climate of prejudice in America.
