‘I want this to be my career, this isn’t my life’

This week we are joined by Clemmie Telford, a woman of many talents: blogger, podcaster, Instagrammer and, most recently, author. After studying and beginning her career in advertising, Clemmie began her blogs and Instagram account exploring motherhood in the early days of Instagram advertising, learning and shaping the influencer market with the brands themselves.

Preferring the term broadcaster to influencer, Clemmie shares:

The shift from using social media to meet likeminded people, to using it as a business tool reaching larger audiences, and the way engagement changes. Looking at the brief rather than the fee for ads and going with your gut. Social media content creation as a demanding and creative job, and being honest with followers about the business elements. Retaining privacy online and being conscious of what you share on social media. Clemmie’s new book ‘But Why?’ which helps parents with awkward questions and celebrates the art of truthful open conversation.
