Everything's bigger in Texas - especially when it comes to riffs. For over a decade, The Sword have been riding high as one of the state's finest purveyors of head-banging tunes, taking them to stages across the world and on tours with heroes like Metallica and Fear Factory. While the band were in Sydney as a part of their first-ever headlining tour, lead guitarist Kyle Shutt and bass/synth player Bryan Richie talked about their Texan origins, surviving ska-punk and their transition from burly biker bars to arenas and back again.

The Sword's latest album, High Country, is distributed in Australia via Cooking Vinyl.
