Located in the once abandoned Seagram distillery complex in Lasalle, 1769 Distillery produces mainly gins but is quite adventurous with its spirits. As well, it is innovating and helping the environment with their special process to distill beer and wines that otherwise who have been thrown away. In the interview, head distiller Alex Mikus talks about their custom made continuous still and the challenges of Quebec's liquor board, the SAQ.
