Dual-sport star Ryland Newman has taken his game from the hardwood to the gridiron and is on a mission to parlay it into a spot on the 53-man roster at the next level. After spending three seasons on the Fairmont State basketball squad, Newman joined the football program in the spring of 2009 and made an instant impact. A three-year starter for the Falcons, the West Virginia native has been a staple at cornerback and had 8 pass deflections, to go along with two interceptions in 2012 as teams avoided his direction. Newman also racked up 526 total yards rushing, receiving and returning kicks. The multi-threat weapon joins host Ric Serritella in this edition of the NFL Draft Bible Player Spotlight Show.
