This week, we’ll be talking with Jason Whitehead with Alabama Elite Fishing. Jason reports that the crappie bite is really heating up on the Tennessee River System, with Lake Guntersville in particular being on fire. With waterfowl opener around the corner, Jason also reports that ducks and hunters are both moving into the shallows.

Next up on the Cahaba River we have Stephen Rockarts. The fall colors have been lackluster this year with the drought, but the fishing has been on fire and Stephen anticipates that this week’s rain will improve the bite.

Finally, we have Dip McMillian down in the Mobile-Tensaw Delta. This is Dip’s favorite time of the year to fish, and you’ll want to listen all the way to the end to hear what jig and jighead combination is filling his livewell this fall. We also talk coon dogs, food plots, and hog hunting.
