We’ve got exciting reports this week coming in from all over the state of Alabama this week.

First up we have Taylor Hara reporting in from the Wiregrass Region around Dothan, AL. Taylor has been catching Choctaw Bass, Largemouth Bass, and sunfish that are moving up into the small rivers and tributaries that lace Southeastern Alabama. Next we have Adam Hudson, CEO of Blue Line Co. and avid smallmouth bass angler. “Smallies” are starting to move off of the main river into the tributaries, making them easy targets for fly fishermen. Finally, rounding out this week’s report we have Jason Throneberry, who serves as the Director of Freshwater Programs for The Nature Conservancy in Alabama. Tune in to hear Jason discuss the innovative bypass channels designed to aid the migration of sturgeon and gulf strain striped bass, providing insights into the development and challenges of this project. He also highlights the significant preservation of 8,000 acres in Clarke County and shares how this effort fits into TNC’s broader conservation strategy.
