Founded in 2018, First Ascent is a biotech startup with a mission to transform medical oncology through highly individualized, prospective treatment planning technologies that improve survival and advance science. The company have developed a platform that helps patients today through providing individualized cancer treatment plans, accelerates new drugs into the clinic for patients tomorrow, and will reshape cancer treatment for the patients of the future.


Jim is an experienced Fortune 250 CIO/CISO who lost his son Trey to bone cancer, which inspired him to set up First Ascent Biomedical. He is also the founder of the Trey Foote Foundation in honor of his son, dedicated to advancing new treatments and cures for osteosarcoma. CTO Noah is a designer/validator of the AI framework and lead author on all AI validation studies. He is also an assistant faculty member at the Children’s Cancer Therapy Development Institute.
