Meet Klair and Colton Grinstead, their from Armstrong 4-H in Fond du Lac County. These guys were definitely prepared for the fair, which comes up July 17th - 21st.
So it's a good thing they're ready!
They both stayed really busy this Summer between training cattle and walking pigs. This year Klair's showing three pigs and one heifer, while Colton's showing two pigs and two heifers. I'd say their hands are pretty full. Colton told us that they spend about three hours a day outside with the animals just to make sure their ready to go.
Klair talked about showmanship classes, aka: that hardest classes ever. If you don't know what showmanship is, it's literally all based on your knowledge and how you handle the animal, no matter what the animal does. Talking about it's bringing back flashbacks. She was a little nervous, but she has no reason to be because last year she won. So hopefully she can kill it again!
Colton also had his fair share of wins in the past. Like for example, his first year showing pigs he won! I showed for six years and I'm still waiting for that trophy...
So good luck to these two, and to everyone else at the
Fond du Lac County Fair
this year! Hopefully all that hard work pays off.
