As the cost of living continues to bite, new services are popping up around Perth to help people save money and the environment.

Repair Cafe is a free service where people can have items repaired so they don't have to fork out extra cash to replace the item.

The ShareShed is another free service where people can borrow tools, instead of having to buy new ones which sit in the shed unused.

Repair Cafe Bassendean and ShareShed Bassendean chair and co-founder Tim McLennan told Jo McManus on 6PR Afternoons the programs aim to reduce waste and help people financially.
