The State Government has handed down its 2023 budget revealing a $4.2 billion surplus.


At the top of the agenda was healthcare with the State Government investing $2.7 billion to provide more hospital beds, more hospital staff and reform the emergency departments.


Every household will receive a minimum of $400 towards their electricity bills with the investment totalling $715 million.


Premier and Treasurer, Mark McGowan has committed to $450 million in additional funding for the Social Housing Investment Fund as well as providing an additional 4,000 social housing homes.


The government will also provide an additional $463 million for economic infrastructure and diversification with a tax cut for people buying apartments off the plan.


It has also committed $3 billion to decarbonising the state's electricity.
