After Eight Show - 29/10/19

We had a witch's cauldron full of #NewMusic in our playlist! An eclectic mix of original, intelligent, melodic, grown-up songs - #electronic, #rnb, #jazz, #blues and #acoustic. And mostly from artists who you have not heard of - yet!

Amongst our selections, there was #NewMusic from The Cinematic Orchestra + Tawiah + Pépé Bradock, Nelisiwe Faith Sibiya, A Beacon School, HÆLOS, Aṣa, TOPE ALABI + TY Bello, Tess Roby, Ada Lea, IDER + gelka, Tertia May, Rival Consoles, Sudan Archives, Choopsie, Bart, Shafte + Emelie Songs, Helena Deland, Shifte and Okkervil River.

Our Luvva Cover is a fabulous version of a Jeff Buckley song which was published posthumously after his untimely death. The cover is by a totally underrated singer and guitarist Lewis Taylor whose music was so undervalued that he retired from making it - a great loss to those of us who knew just how good he was!

And #RecordOfTheWeek is the newly-released second single by a London indie/synthpop duo called CATBEAR.
