After Eight Show - 21/01/20

We had oceans of #NewMusic in our playlist! An eclectic mix of original, intelligent, melodic, grown-up songs - #electronic, #rnb, #jazz, #blues and #acoustic. And mostly from artists who you have not heard of - yet!

In our Luvva Cover feature, we will be playing a brand new cover version of one of the most beautiful love songs ever written. It was first recorded in 1957 by the woman it was written for (Peggy Seeger) and it was made world famous 15 years later by Roberta Flack. The new version is taken from a forthcoming album by Rafiq Bhatia with vocals by the brilliant Cecile McLorin Salvant Music. We love it!
