After Eight Show - 14/05/19

There was a cornucopia of #NewMusic in our playlist this week! An eclectic mix of original, intelligent, melodic, grown-up songs - #electronic, #rnb, #jazz, #blues and #acoustic. And mostly from artists who you have not heard of - yet!

Amongst our selections, there was #NewMusic from Kat Deal, The Marcus King Band, GOODLUCK + DJ Ganyani, Babeheaven, Shabaka Hutchings + Kojey Radical, Yazmin Lacey, Fog Lake, Allie Crow Buckley, Jaakko Eino Kalevi, Oliver Nieder, All India Radio Band, Another Sky, Timid Deer, Koffee + Jane Macgizmo, Distant Voices (Vox Liminis) ft. Rachel Sermanni and Philip Whitehead.

Our Luvva Cover feature was a transformational version of one of Bonnie Raitt's best loved songs. It only came out in March, it's by Madeline Kenney, and very well worth a listen!

And this week was Mental Health Awareness week so our #RecordOfTheWeek is I Feel Better When by Rethink Your Mind.
