Welcome to Episode 1 of African Mirror, a show where our DJ Host ORIKoL talks about issues through the African eye.

This week ORIKoL explores many misconceptions that the western world holds when viewing Africa from afar. Digging deep into the history of what it means to have countries branded as 'third world', how culture can be viewed as less developed, and how we are all really the same.

It's impossible to dive into these topics without looking at the long term effects of colonisation. To help us shed some light on the situation we feature an excerpt of a speech by Dr Arikana Chihombori, an impressive figure in the community.
