AIC Original S158 - Stop Letting Algorithms Determine Your Self Worth

It’s a common trap that we’ve all fallen into. Social media attention and our desire for more of it starts to take over and suddenly we lose our creative voice because we are creating for the algorithm of whatever platforms we are using to share our work.

If that wasn’t already a bummer enough, we begin to let that algorithm and how many likes/followers/shares/etc. dictate our feelings of self worth as creatives. We have all been there, it’s nothing to be ashamed of. It literally happens to the best of us. The thing is, many are unable to recognize when they hit that point and ultimately they burn out… worse they let it impact their own personal mental health to a degree that it takes them to the deepest, darkest places in their mind. 

This is why it’s so vitally important we learn to recognize when we are slipping and learn to stop letting some random social media platforms algorithm determine our self worth.
