A thoughtful gift from the city or an insult against the highest man in  the land? In 1891 Max von Forckenbeck would, as a sign of respect and easing of frustrations, gift to German Emperor, Kaiser Wilhelm II, a magnificent fountain that still stands in Berlin today. Cast by the favourite sculptor of the Kaiser it was supposed to bring joy to the often petulant Kaiser, instead it brought the Kaiser to go head to head with a god.
