When we were last with you, we were discussing possible wine options for Thanksgiving. While it seems like that wasn’t all that long ago (because it wasn’t), we must now quickly pivot away from that holiday and set our sights on Christmas and New Years. The days and nights are getting colder, even here in Arizona, so our thoughts have turned not only to holiday related beverages, but to those items that might make a cold winter night seem just a bit more cozy. This, along with the fact that Andrew has recently seen his home bar whiskey options increase, have brought us to a week where we will get into the “spirit” of whiskey. This episode will feature a type of whiskey that has long been one of our favorites, if not our actual favorite, bourbon. The beverage we are trying is the Woodford Reserve Double Oaked Bourbon. It features maturing in separate charred oak barrels, the second one being deeply toasted before a light charring. What did we think? What do you think?
