Give It A Shot - Summum Vodka 2019

It is with some degree of incredulity that we find ourselves writing about the subject of this show. We have tried numerous types of beverages over the years and one of them that has consistently underachieved for our palates has been vodka. We have tried at least eight (maybe more), and while there has been one we can recommend (Tito’s), we still prefer to have a bit more flavor in our spirits. We realize we are in the minority in this matter, but no matter what, when the subject of vodka is brought up, good discussion is usually not far behind. Recently, Andrew found himself in need of a new bottle of vodka for his home bar and also found himself at Total Wine where he noticed the recommendation of a person we have trusted on more than one occasion, Scott. He has never led us astray before, so thanks to him, we have the Summum Vodka to try for this episode. It is distilled from wheat and handcrafted in Cognac, France by a distillery that was founded in 1814. When it comes to vodka, we are somewhat skeptical, but if anyone can show us the way to a vodka we like, it will be Scott. What did we think? What do you think?
