Episode 90 - Dugout Chatter with Chris Pollard, Duke University

This week we connect with a 21-year continuous ABCA member Chris Pollard of Duke University. He became head coach six years ago and has led the Blue Devils to two straight NCAA Tournaments after the program had previously not made the NCAA postseason since 1961. The team made its first Super Regional and had its first 40-win campaign in 2018. In this show, Pollard opens up about his path in baseball including finding himself as a head coach at the tender age of 24, to doing more with less. This episode includes a powerful segment in which Pollard offers his perspective on not letting the lack of resources get in your way, but instead maximizing and focusing on the resources that you do have to build your program. Plus, he offers his thoughts on embracing technology to guide development and the details behind one of the great stories in college baseball - building up the baseball program at a "basketball school" into one of the elite in NCAA Division I baseball.
