Dan McDonnell dials in from the offices at Jim Patterson Stadium at the University of Louisville to break down his journey through baseball. McDonnell, our ABCA 2nd Vice President this year, has built the Cardinals program into a perennial powerhouse, owning the best winning percentage in college baseball over the past 12 seasons. In this episode, we dive into MacDonnell’s growth as a coach since taking over at Louisville in 2006 and imparting his vision for the program. Eleven NCAA Regionals and four College World Series appearances later, McDonnell is still finding new ways to challenge himself, dialing into greater detail inside of his practice plan and offering insight into the Cardinals attack on the bases and at the plate.
