Episode 102 - Dugout Chatter with David Pierce, University of Texas

We touch down in Austin, Texas, for episode 102 to connect with proud ABCA member and University of Texas head coach David Pierce. We talk through his journey in baseball and there are some terrific reflections from 30 years in the dugout. This was special episode for us since Pierce and his staff will be jumping up on the main stage in Dallas for our upcoming ABCA Convention in January. Pierce offers some great insight into the program at UT, how he measures success and how he has grown as a leader throughout the years. A dime that comes from this interview was Pierce offering that they knew exactly what the expectations were coming to Texas and, instead of working around them, they embraced them fully! His club is coming off their run to Omaha in only Pierce’s second year as head coach. We open his thoughts on the brand of baseball being played in Texas, plus his vision into what the future holds for the University of Texas.
