A true example of a lifelong learner, passionate teacher and loyal ABCA member is our guest today, Dan Heefner, head coach at Dallas Baptist University. A 19-year continuous ABCA member, Heefner was introduced to the association as a player by his college coach and he has made an impact, serving on our NCAA Division I All-American Committee and this year as a clinician at the ABCA Convention in Indianapolis. Heefner has helped build DBU into one of the top college baseball programs in the country and has staked a claim as one of the offenses that causes fits for opposing pitching coaches. In this show, we open up on the Patriots hitting approach, outlining the look and feel inside their cages plus their use of technology and competitions to guide growth and discovery. Heefner also opens up on his journey in coaching, starting during his playing days and accentuated by his constant search for more knowledge and personal growth. His humility is tangible, his passion for relationships and positively influencing young men is apparent and this is a can't-miss episode for our coaches to connect with another tremendous coach.
